Here we have a formidable arched 19th-century American Empire-style mahogany dressing mirror. This was graciously found without its quarrelsome stand, and is in fact strung for a good wall-mounting. According to the previous owner, the mirror glass may have been replaced at some point in time, but some foxing remains to reflect its character and age.

We selected mirrors as our debut collection for three reasons: it's dark in winter and we can use all use a bit more natural light reflected around our space; a mirror in an old-fashioned wood frame has character, is durable, and has stood the test of time; and we love looking at ourself in these!
